OUR REGION

We are known for the warmth and friendliness of our people, by our incredible variety of breathtaking landscapes, for our historical heritage (medieval castles, Roman villas, Paleolithic ruins), our unique urban centers and villages where you can still smell traditional corn bread being baked and traditional mountain cheese being produced...

Our cuisine is the result of various influences that go back centuries in time; as such it is as rich and diverse platter where you can taste local foods that include goat, lamb, cheese and wine ... These are experiences that stay with our guests forever and that we would like to introduce you to.

All of this is accompanied by a wonderful climate, where the sun is a constant presence, even during winter, which means spring starts as early as in January.

For this – and much more – we believe that Portugal - and our region in particular - is the perfect destination for your "Biking 'n Hiking" sports and cultural getaway.
